It’s Tuesday Question time! Last week I asked about debt keeping you from achieving your dreams – a tough subject for some people but very important. Let’s brighten things up this week! This one is for the parents out there.
What’s the best part of being a parent?

It brings out the best in me, gives me a chance to be a kid again, and a huge chance to do something right. It’s a little scary though sometimes knowing that this little precious kids are depending on me for everything – overall the best thing that ever happened to me. I have finally practically understood Gods love for me, just by having my kids with me.
So awesome. Did you see Loren’s comment on this post? Interesting, huh?!!
I just saw it (great minds kind of thing maybe:)), its amazing what they can bring out in us. I honestly think that must have been one of God’s master plan!.
As they grow, seeing being parts of you in them.
That has to be so cool.
Man, what a question for a new father. My 2 1/2 month old is still in the hospital( He should be coming home within 2 wks.) Bu I would have to say when I’m able to hold him and he’s looking at me.
I can only imagine! I’m really glad to hear he may come home soon. I’m sure you’re both soooo ready. Prayers for your family, Dan.
Hard to narrow it down to a single thing, but here’s one of the best new ones for me: learning selflessness.
I certainly haven’t mastered it: the spoiled kid in me still comes out occasionally. But it’s an incredible, mature feeling looking at my three kids and realizing that their needs are much more important than my wants.
No one can prioritize my time (or money, etc.) but me. On a daily basis, I have to grow up and put my family first.
Love it. Is it getting easier with each kid though?
The best thing: It’s given me a totally different understanding of God’s love for me.
Awesome comment
